Quality Inn & Suites Detroit Lakes

Great place, a little outdated bathrooms some mold around tub no bathtub plug. Breakfast A+ Only drawback was separate building through snowy parking lot upstairs. Welcoming Christmas decor and a feeling of warmth. Location is grea on main hwy.

The advertising makes this hotal seem like a resort, but it is not. It wasn't a bad stay, but it was obvious that they were previous smoking rooms. The curtains still smelled. They have a window unit air conditioner mounted into the wall that is quite noisy and runs continuously to keep the room cool. The water pressure was ok. The Continental breakfast was pretty good, even for gluten free patrons. It was very close to the water and the service was great. In the future, I will probably spring for something a little nicer.

Overall it was a nice place for the money. It is decorated nicely. The staff were helpful. Complaints I have was the pool and waterside was extremely cold and the hot tub was only warm with only half the jets working. The shower in the bathroom of the pool room did not work. The continental breakfast did have a waffle maker and some fruit options but everything else was prepackaged items to grab and go.

My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay last minute after we escaped from our previous disgusting hotel. We were so happy with how clean the rooms were and how nice the staff was. The continental breakfast was amazing, and super clean! Couldn't be happier with the experience we had and the price we paid to stay here!

Had a great stay at the Quality Inn in Detroit Lakes! The staff were especially friendly and helpful—one even took the time to help me get ice for my cooler while he was busy restocking breakfast. The breakfast itself was convenient and tasty, with plenty of creamer on hand (a small detail that I appreciated!). There are nice little touches around the property too, like a cozy library nook and a game table with tic-tac-toe. Our room was clean and well-equipped with a microwave and fridge, which made things easy to get ready for our next trail ride. This hotel is also in a great location—just a short drive from the Thomas Dambo troll hunt and all the charm of the resort town of Detroit Lakes. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful hotel and staff was great! I was a little wary when I pulled up to the room and saw it had an exterior door, I am not a fan of motels, but there was also in interior door. I used the exterior door more, it was just so convenient. The card reader didnt work the best on the outside door, but I was always able to get in from the hallway. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was so so. I really wanted some scrambled eggs and it seemed like they didnt have those. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in Detroit Lakes.

Had a great trip, the hotel looks older on the outside but the rooms we had were nice! Beds could be changed here soon as they are not the most comfortable but other than that it was clean and the kids had a blast in the pool. The hot tub was down that weekend but the hotel staff did call and let me know beforehand so that was nice.
